Yesterday, the Lost Lake Drive-In in Question Mark, Ohio, reopened its gates to the public, two years after the tragic accident that deeply affected the community. The drive-in has been revamped with significant safety improvements, including a new fence around the re-emerged sulfurous pond, ensuring a secure environment for moviegoers.
A touching plaque to those who lost their lives in the 1957 collapse has been posted near the newly built snack bar, which also features fun, movie-themed treats like "Some Like It Hot Dogs," "East of Cheese-den," "Rebel Without a Coleslaw," and "A Streetcar Named Dessert."
The opening night featured a compelling double feature of Alfred Hitchcock's North by Northwest and the Three Stooges' Have Rocket, Will Travel, drawing a large crowd eager to experience the revamped drive-in. Manager Digby Harrison expressed his thoughts on the reopening: "We're committed to making the Lost Lake Drive-In a place of safe, family-friendly entertainment. It's important for us to honor the past while creating a space for new memories."
