Question Mark, Ohio, witnessed an event straight out of a mystery novel last night at the stately Ames Mansion. Wilbur Ames, nephew of the late Lawrence Ames and founder of the Ames Rifle Company, hosted a seance led by the world-renowned and enigmatic spiritualist, Madame Zara.

Madame Zara, known for her flamboyant style and unorthodox methods, captivated the attendees with her dramatic entrance, adorned in flowing robes embroidered with celestial symbols. The seance began with the dimming of lights and the burning of fragrant incense, which filled the room with an otherworldly aroma. Participants sat around a large, ornate table, holding hands as Madame Zara entered a trance-like state.

Whispers and gasps filled the room as the spiritualist began to speak in a voice unlike her own, claiming it to be the spirit of industrialist Lawrence Ames. Through her, the spirit expressed words of wisdom and offered advice on current affairs of the Ames family and business. Madame Zara's performance was complete with rapping sounds, flickering lights, and a final, dramatic collapse as she came out of her trance.

Skeptics and believers alike were left in awe of the spectacle. While some attendees remained unconvinced, attributing the phenomena to clever tricks and suggestibility, others were deeply moved, believing they truly witnessed a connection with the beyond.
