Displaying an exhilarating combination of craftsmanship and speed, young Ronny Dublowski captured first place in the annual Pine Box Derby. The event, a highlight for local youth, was particularly memorable this year thanks to Ronny's impressive entry, the Fog Mobile II.
Ronny, a fifth-grader at Question Mark Elementary, crafted his winning pine box car alongside his father, affectionately known as Big Ron Dublowski. The Fog Mobile II, a striking shade of green with bold black accents, dazzled onlookers with both its design and velocity.
"We worked on it every evening after dinner," said a beaming Ronny, holding his trophy. "Dad taught me a lot about woodworking."
Big Ron, watching proudly, remarked, "I couldn't be prouder. Ronny put his heart into building the Fog Mobile II. He’s a natural."
Ronny's classmates and the broader community celebrated his achievement, with many admiring his commitment and precision. Mrs. Susan Harris, the principal of Question Mark Elementary, commented, "Ronny’s victory is a testament to his perseverance and ingenuity."
Following his win, the Dublowski family hosted a celebratory gathering at their home, with the Fog Mobile II taking pride of place. As for Ronny, he's already brimming with ideas for next year's race, aiming to defend his title with a new and improved design.
