In a day marked by both peril and passion, Bill Twombley, a daring building inspector for the Building Inspection department of Question Mark, Ohio, narrowly escaped death when a condemned building collapsed around him. Demonstrating resilience and a spirit of spontaneity, Twombley and his fiancée Greta Peterson transformed the day's harrowing experience into a moment of celebration by holding their wedding amidst the building's rubble later that evening.

The small civil ceremony, held in the very debris of the day's near-tragedy, was a poignant testament to the couple's commitment and unshakeable bond. Twombley's brush with danger earlier in the day added a depth of emotion to the nuptials, serving as a stark reminder of life's fragility and the importance of seizing the moment.

Kyle Hamish, a colleague from the building inspector's office, who attended the unconventional wedding, shared his thoughts on the unique event: “It’s just like Bill to turn a near-disaster into something beautiful. This wedding, amidst all this rubble, shows just how strong and optimistic he is. It was surprisingly romantic, and honestly, I don’t think there was a dry eye among us.”

As Twombley and Peterson embark on their married life together, their unique wedding story will undoubtedly remain a memorable chapter in the town's history, inspiring others with its message of love, courage, and resilience.
